As terrible as Keenan and Messier were in the moment, they actually did long-term good by speeding up the teardown of the aging 1994 team and turning a declining Linden into Bertuzzi and a Sedin.

Benning and Aquilini will have wrecked 15 years of this team's history before things are finally properly repaired.
