Good thing the award doesn't factor in his complete inability to adjust his system in the playoffs. Gotta love whining about hooking and holding with 3 min to go...uh yea, welcome to the playoffs. Maybe find a way to take advantage of that.

Agreed. The officiating may be inconsistent, but if there's one thing you can rely on, it's that they are going to swallow the whistles and allow interference/obstruction in the postseason, especially late in games. I expect fans to complain about it but not the coaches.



I'm happy for AV, but I thought what he did with last year's team as a first year coach may have been more impressive than his coaching this year. Some of the things that Canucks fans complained about were particularly evident this year: overreliance on vets, usage of Glass, slow to adjust, etc.

Stubborn, doesn't adapt, makes ****** personnel choices. This guy doesn't deserve **** this year and he was a major reason they lost in the finals last year for the same reasons. He is already starting to wear out his welcome, SCF appearence or not.

Wouldn't go that far, but AV was definitely disappointing this year. A lot more stubborn than he was last year.
