Interesting to look back at last year. After 33 games Edmonton was exactly 2 points better than this year at 18-13-2 and 1 point out of the Wild Card. Vegas was leading the division with 45 points in 35 games (34 games this year).

So I guess we're not really out of anything yet, but man these last 3 games have been a bummer.

There is a lot of negativity around this joint, so I'm going to inject some positive predictions and vibes for all, in keeping with the season.

- the Oilers will only lose this one to Dallas by a 4-2 score
- their goaltending will only let in ONE shitty goal
- Darnell Nurse will only make TWO braindead plays instead of his usual three
- guys not named Hyman, McDavid, Draisaitl and Nuge will come oh so close to getting a goal
- Jeremy Coupal will have a starring role by negating two Dallas goals.
- Evan Bouchard will awaken from his slumber a period earlier than normal
- Leon and Connor will make it back to their side of centre 8 times, and only do FOUR flybys
- Woodcroft will promote Shore into the top line but then quickly realize his mistake before the 3rd period and switch him back, and put Ryan there instead
