The Red Fisher Conference has 8 teams per division so each team will play in the opening round.

The Jim Coleman Conference has 7 teams per division hence the top-ranked team in each division will get a first round bye.

The Playoffs will begin today. Contribute to the discussions in the match-up threads. If everyone made at least one observation or piece of analysis about each contest, we could have quite a lively, comprehensive look at each series.

Discussions will continue until Thursday evening. Friday is Voting Day.

I feel like an idiot cause some of my votes were way off...

I really don't think the Malmo Redhawks were the worst team in that division though

for the first time in 6 drafts, the Detroit Falcons didn't won their division, but I'm second to an excellent team and GM, so I don't feel bad about it.

Good luck Arrbez and the rest of the teams: the playoffs is an all new monster :)

This is beyond bogus, there is no way this is possible. Clearly people were bias when they voted.

Division Winner :amazed:

Well, I thought I had a pretty decent shot, but still suprising with so many great teams, and I am honored.

Good luck to everyone!

I thought your team was pretty solid myself, but one shouldn't be too discouraged or start making accusations because they don't like their ranking.

You should instead focus your attention on winning- we've seen upsets happen before here. If your team is truly deserving of moving on, if you argue well enough, I'm sure it will.

Wow, I was confident I had a top 3 team in the division, but I am pleasantly surprised with the jump from 8th in the last draft to 1st this time, especially in a very tough division.

Looking forward to a tough series with you, DoMakc. I had your team ranked quite a bit higher.

Disappointing, but I have high expectations all the time. if I'm not first, I'm last :D

This was, to me, the strongest ATD division of all-time. (And this was offset by the Foster Hewitt being possibly the weakest ever) So I guess being 3rd in the strongest division ever is not bad.

I didn't want to face the same GM I faced in the first round last draft, and I doubt he wanted to face us either. :D - he has two regulars that were on Regina last draft and we have two of his (Morris, Roberts, Anderson, MacLeish)

This is beyond bogus, there is no way this is possible. Clearly people were bias when they voted.

I was waiting for that...

And to get 1st place with that 2nd line, the rest of your team had to be REALLY good!

..... yeah, it's probably better that these didn't count towards the final results.

i'd sure love to hear what made inglewood and regina last in their divisions!

I'm glad too.

I'm guessing VanI was barely behind me and that vote might have put him above me in the division.

11 of 14 teams in the Jim Coleman conference received 7th place votes
9 of 14 teams received multiple 1st place votes

judgements vary. LL posted his because he missed the deadline. let's not criticize it, as variety of opinion is evident in rankings.

let's concentrate on the match-ups, where just TWO teams need to be analyzed, not groups of 7 or 8 of them.

.

You are right; however, it is impossible not to comment when a GM publicly states his vote for your team being last in your division.

No one gets to comment on your votes normally, because they're private, but if you put them out there like that....

To be fair, he had your team 9th in the overall rankings (7 of the top 9 were in your division, as a testament to how strong it was).

Nice, 3rd place. Not bad for my maiden voyage at HFBoards.
