Congrats VI, and good luck. I'm in tough in this one. I'm hoping to be able to comment on the weekend now that tax season is winding to a close.

Looking forward to it Stalberg. To kick things off:

A huge size, strength and physicality advantage up the middle when the Fusiliers is on the offense and against Old Poison and Trotts is Pocket Richard and Lady Byng Boucher.

Of course, the Mooseheads top centers are elite passers and skilled at avoiding traffic and dishing off when challenged physically, and that should help control the periphery when their team is on offense, setting up some Orr shots from the point, though can their forwards park themselves in front of the net for screens and deflections? The ugly goals are so important come playoff time.

The coaching and goaltending advantage is offset by the best player in the series. But is it an ideal Orr team? Smith's Falls certainly tried to make itself an ideal Nels Stewart team.

Halifax defeats Smiths Falls in five games. Series star Bobby Orr was all over the ice as usual, showing no sign of his troubling knee injury. Bryan Trottier, the series' 2nd star, fought valiantly, but couldn't win the matchup with Orr. 3rd star Johnny Bower kept Smiths Falls in all five games (three of Halifax' victories were by a single goal) but Orr, Boucher, and Hooley Smith proved to be too much.

Wow, I'm shocked by the result...

I'd like to appologize to VanI and the voters for not getting in to this series, I underestimated the final push of tax season, and we had our tax party mixed in over the weekend. It didn't make for any time to put together any good arguments and analysis the past few days.

You built an awesome team VanI, likely my favourite in this draft (aside from mine, of course )

I'm not surprised that Halifax won, but I'm surprised it wasn't close.

I thought Smith's Falls was better built for the playoffs than the regular season.
