Current odds have a one in four chance for the Islanders as our opponent, three in four Rangers, and about 1.1 percent chance of it being Florida.

And saw on the Rangers board some sort of news in the form on a tweet on the injury front. Hope that this posts, I am terrible at posting tweets:

So we will either get Rags without their top dman or Isles without Hamonic. Pens will be without Malkin, so we are worse off but we should take advantage of that D we will be up against.

It is not certain that his hand is broken, just some tweets so far that may or may not be accurate.

They did have a call up to replace him, so he is injured.

We will just have to wait to hear for sure how injured.

Random question, if the SCF would end up being Pens vs. Kings would Scuderi get his name on the Cup either way?

No. He would only be on the Kings winning and that's assuming he plays regularly in the playoffs for them.

Someone like Porter wouldn't be on ours and if Pouliot plays 1 game he probably wouldn't. They could vote to put Dupuis on, which they probably would. Iirc. It's all iirc.

The rule used to be you had to play at least one game in the finals for the winning team, though you could petition to add players who were out due to an injury, tragedy, or other such extenuating circumstance. But that was on a case by case basis, and I'm not sure if they changed the rule or not.

I think an interesting question is if (and HUGE IF here) the Pens should win, will they ask to put Dupuis' name on the cup ala Konstantinov in 1998?

They will probably ice him if KCH falls apart to give KCD one last shot :sarcasm:

I'm pretty sure they would put him on to be honest. It seems like he is still around the team a lot (last in the room episode, casino night and fan appreciation come to mind) and it would be such a good story since Duper is still very much a fan (and lockerroom) favourite.
