Last playoffs we were without 3 of our top 4 dmen vs them. If we play them again we are without Geno, maybe Fleury. Should still beat them regardless though.

They did have a call up to replace him, so he is injured.

Only if the Kings win. How would he qualify for the Pens if he never played a playoff game for them?

No. He would only be on the Kings winning and that's assuming he plays regularly in the playoffs for them.

Someone like Porter wouldn't be on ours and if Pouliot plays 1 game he probably wouldn't. They could vote to put Dupuis on, which they probably would. Iirc. It's all iirc.

The rule used to be you had to play at least one game in the finals for the winning team, though you could petition to add players who were out due to an injury, tragedy, or other such extenuating circumstance. But that was on a case by case basis, and I'm not sure if they changed the rule or not.

They will probably ice him if KCH falls apart to give KCD one last shot

I'm pretty sure they would put him on to be honest. It seems like he is still around the team a lot (last in the room episode, casino night and fan appreciation come to mind) and it would be such a good story since Duper is still very much a fan (and lockerroom) favourite.

There is no situation that they wouldn't put his name on the cup.

I feel for the guy, but I have my doubts about his longevity going forward and I'd be worried about taking him on, even at a discount, for our roster.

I was never interested in Stamkos for the Pens. The price is too high & he's not very good in PO. We're already enough top heavy as it is.
