Defense and goaltending seem optional in Toronto. Crazy start against Tampa.

This is an extreme case but it's generally this way in October before teams start getting their structures and team D together and the goal tallies start to decline.

I love when the Leafs lose big! I know it is only a few games in but normally they start out strong and then fade away as the season goes on. If they are bad from start to finish, well, that would be fun.

You can't put any stock in how teams/players perform in the first few weeks of the season. The style of play in Oct. is a stark contrast to March/April/May.

Yep, combine mediocre tending by Andersen with
4 new dmen from what Leafs iced in PO and comine it with a TB team embarrased by The Jerks and I am not shocked it happened.

Buffalo looks good so far but then again they won 10 in a row early part of last season before they went back to being Buffalo.

Yeah, it's waaaaaay to early to be making statements on any team in the NHL so far.

It's been an unexpected ride however for the first 2 weeks.

I’m glad Buffalo, Detroit, Carolina, Flyers, etc have all great starts.

Makes it tougher for lowly Habs to sneak in after 82.

1993 Forever!

Who cares about the Habs...it's going to make it that much more difficult for the arrogant leafs to make the playoffs. I can't see how they make it with that soft defenceless team.

Those in leaf land will appreciate this sentiment.
