Edmonton
Of course he will be. And return just in time for Game 1 of the Playoffs each year I'm sure.

They got away with it this year so why not keep doing it? Precedent has long been set.

A month before every TDL he goes out for rest and rehabilitation so they can add a $10M player and Stone magically returns on Game 1 good as new. (Tongue firmly planted in cheek)

Yours too??

A lesson for American players. Or any player. Don't play for the flames
According to Flamer fans the issue for American players leaving was strictly that they didn't like the old coach. Hmm, guess they don't like the new one either, that can be the only possible explanation. ;)

In the old days players did not make enough to live the high life in a big city for the rest of their life so playing in a hockey mad market was a big plus as it gave them opportunities for good jobs post retirement. These days things have obviously changed. And its not going back. Places like Edmonton have to sell a chance to win, or at this point a chance to play with McDavid/Draisaitl. That is the only currency that they have. Unfortunately, if a player has a family that may well still come in second or third fiddle to lifestyle.

Another American player wants out of Calgary. There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

Yeah. Unless you know you really want the American player (even if it's for 1-2 years), I would not covet them at all. They will most likely be a rental or won;t stay.

What the hell is nelk
I just found out about them last week lol. The Nelk boys. They have a podcast and interview a lot of famous people, etc. Dana White is 100% right though.

I loved that he carved up the NHL

Hey, but we're only 1,578 more mass shootings away from becoming a more desirable place than some of the others.

The shamelessness of this is just comical. Just straight up establishing that Stone will be out every year for at least the time between the trade deadline and game 1.

Once again, this is one of those things that would undoubtedly result in an "investigation" if the Oilers did this with a player, but shoulders will be shrugged in this case specifically. "Rules are the rules," unless you're a certain team that is.
