From today's NHL Live show:

Tyson Nash : OEL is a much better defenseman than Drew Doughty. He puts up more goals and point and blah, blah, blah... #homer

Tyson Nash is worse than Hayward, he really is. Every time the Kings play the Coyotes I get the Coyotes feed and have to listen to the homer crap that he spews from the drop of the puck until the final buzzer. It's mind numbing.

Was using Kodi on my phone to watch the first period of the game against Arizona this week and had to use the Yote's broadcast.

When Andreoff got a penalty for tripping Schenn, they showed the replay and the PBP guy said something like "Schenn got up and looked like he was going to respond but then saw there was a penalty called" and Nash--a noted rat and ***** of a player--says something like "Psht...not against Andreoff. His gloves are glued on. He wouldn't do anything".

Pretty pathetic to have a color guy be a former player but not know **** about who is he talking about. If you don't, don't say anything.

Willing to bet the majority of Andreoff footage on YT is of him fighting.

Nash is usually kind of a goober, but fair, not so the other night. He was exceptionally bad and obnoxious.

Yeah I can't stand Nash either. Once a rat always a rat.

Wonder if Drew Doughty would ever be as productive as Brent Burns. What a season he's having. He's easily going to run away with the Norris Trophy this season.

It would help if he got his shot on goal more than 1 in 10 tries. Burns could have his back to the net, shoot it, and still mange to get it on net.

Fadeaway jumper

Fact is, no one can shoot like Brent Burns. Erik Karlsson is flat-out amazing at just getting shots through and on net, but Burns shoots to score every time. The velocity he gets on a quick and deceptive release is probably as hard as some players slappers, it's nuts.

Chris Pronger was one of the best at that. He didn't try to roof it with every slap shot like Drew attempts to do. Even MacInnis preferred to keep his shots low. Just a few inches above the ice.

Notice how they waste no time in getting their shots through. Same with Burns, he doesn't hesitate to shoot. Drew on the other hand loves to take a big wind up and hold, hold, hold, then shoot.

Edmonton three straight regulation losses. Will probably be hard to catch them, but we're now 8 points back with 3 games in hand.

Time of the season where teams really ramp-up the play, play-off push.

Some of the younger teams, are going to wilt under that pressure. Also the younger players, have not played full 82 grind it out seasons yet.

Arizona Coyotes' stadium deal falls through. So, Glendale is out and Deal with ASU is dead. Quebec Coyotes anyone?

Can't they share arenas with the Phoenix Sun? Or return to Scottsdale?

If the Yotes guys are like most owners, they want that brand new arena without putting up any money. Why play in on an old rink, when [fill in the city name] will give me a new one? And as long as that spanking new building in Quebec is sitting there, might as well take advantage of the opportunity.

Hmmm... I guess the NHL can move Detroit or Lumbus back to the Western conference if the Dogs move.

Food for thought. Pittsburgh was looking very similar to us in the standings/stats last year on the Feb 3. Anyone remember what key moves they made down the stretch?

Nah. NHL would just go back to the way it was before Vegas with the East having two more teams than the west.

Their biggest additions were bringing up Matt Murray, Bryan Rust and Connor Sheary.

As far as trades go, moving a washed up Scuderi for Trevor Daley and David Perron for Carl Hagelin were their only moves.

They got younger, faster, and better, and it was all triggered with a mid-season coaching change.

Can you get as little desk and put it next to DL's and talk with him?

They also picked up Justin Schultz right?

Biggest and move effective change for them, that put them on the right track was the coaching change. New Coach, new philosophy , new system. Made all the difference. You could see it in how the players responded.

And I'd say getting the two fastest players available at the deadline in Bonino and Haglin and putting together a 3rd line that no team could match in the playoffs, it was their most effective line.
