I would think many self-professing hockey fans are aware of former 32nd overall picks who played for USA internationally as juniors and have over 300 games played in the NHL. Particularly the kinds of fans that post on hockey prospect message boards.

It’s exactly what his salary was last year. Which would have been his qualifying offer this year. But they didn’t tender him a qualifying offer (I suppose for fear of arbitration).
