Last season was one of the worst seasons for New York Islanders fan when they saw the team ended third last in the league and losing top winger Alex Radulov to KHL and passing away of Alexei Charpanov….time was now for New York to make a big splash and they have done so since the off season. The first deal saw them acquiring Chris Osgood and Mike Grier from Florida….than they top that up by Ray Whitney , Peter Sykora and Dan Fritsche…and today was the most productive day of all as they have made a big splash by getting Dany Heatley and Marion Gaborik. Are they done yet…probably not, rumors has it that the team have tendered an offer sheet to couple of high profile players….stay tune as news will keep on coming out of Long Island.
