So looks like the car market could see the Apple Car by as early as next year. Looks like Apple is working with Hyundai to make this a reality.

Only people who have more money than sense/god will buy one, just like early production Teslas.

But then again, you're talking to a Toyota fanboy who values reliability over pretty much anything else.

An Apple car with proprietary fuel filler inlet that only fits the the pump nozzles at Apple Gas Stations, until you can buy a third party adapter at O'Reilly's that allows you to go to regular gas stations and which allows other owners of Apple cars to sneer at you in their superiority while they pay $7.50 a gallon for the I-unleaded.

I would rather walk, than lose the control of driving my own car.

I can see their car being out of touch, expensive.

I would rather get bang for my buck, than pay for a product like theirs.

IE overpriced, over hyped, and with a horrific human rights abuses based on how they make your phone.

People lining up for a heavily marked up status symbol car, would be far more laughable than with a phone. So many other cars that are likely to be way better, cheaper and more proven.
