Went to Vegas probably 10 times from 2001 til 2012, have no interest in going back anytime soon.

Vegas is fun in small doses, i.e. three day trips once every few years.

Yeah. Three days is plenty. It is a work thing so it wasn't my choice. Oh well. I get to go home tomorrow night.

I was pretty much the worst Vegas tourist ever when I went with a bunch of girlfriends. We would only gamble in the casinos to the extent that we would figure out wherever the cocktail waitress was on the casino floor and sit at the next bank of slot machines in her path to get her to take our free booze orders.

So. Much. Weird. But. Fun. That. Trip.

Not sure if I'll ever make it back but I've always thought it might be fun to go back and hang out at the sports book for March Madness one year now that I'm an old person who is more afraid of strangers being axe murderers and stuff.

I just want to go to one pool party. Just one.

I have a buddy who ran into Jeremy Shockey at a pool party out there, that I think he was maybe even hosting (whatever that means in Vegas terms). To nobodies surprise, he said Shockey is just as big of a dbag as anyone could ever imagine.

Eh, not sure if I ever want to go to Vegas or not. Don't like gambling, so with that out the window the main impetus seems to be null and void for me.

I'd much rather go to Arizona for a week of spring training. A Cactus League vacation's definitely on my bucket list.

Since I moved back here to Chicago from Arizona a few years ago I make this an annual goal of mine. It's a great trip. Many times in recent years the Hawks have traveled there to play the Coyotes during the Cactus League season so you can double-dip. Not sure if that's the case this year or not. It's definitely something worth having on and knocking off the bucket list. Great time.

Spring training is fun, partying, short commute to most stadiums, in n out burger, good mexican food, warm weather. And cheap too, it's a pretty damn cheap vacation.

If I traveled to see the Cubs, I'd rather try and see if I can double up with them on either the east or west coast for a couple games.

A week of preseason baseball games? That sounds awful.

"Quinn was such a terrible Governor (As was Blago)

Its hard to see Rauner being any worse" - Blackhawskwincup

Just replying to this reply to my comment in the other thread...

This is kind of my point. Illinois sucks so bad that we consider someone "not being any worse" than the last guy a positive thing, when the entire state as a whole is a political swamp of misery, including the last guy. I'd love to be proven wrong, but things aren't going to be any different, let alone better, with Rauner in office. This state is too far in the hole and too corrupt for one man to change anything, even if he truly wanted to change anything and tried to. Again, I'm not hoping for that to happen. God knows I'd love to be wrong and him actually make a difference, by we really have no reason to believe that's going to happen.

Yeah, I'm leaning Fury for this weekend and then maybe Interstellar in another week or two.

Not a big fan of crowded theaters for my movies, so waiting a couple weeks after the premier date is usually my go to plan unless it's a huge film I absolutely want to see ASAP.

I went to Ford City on a Friday and we were the only two people in the theater for a 7:20 PM showing. Hadn't been to Ford City in over a decade, but holy crap they renovated the place. Very comfortable/clean.
