Yep and when they do they always miss or get blocked.

Yeah, I attribute this to shot blocking. I really do think the league would benefit from limiting what can be done to block a shot (e.g. player must remain standing); it would likely increase scoring, and it would also improve player safety.

A extra 20 MPH on a shot makes a big difference. Its harder to control rebounds on.

I used to like watching wingers coming in on a 2 on 1, and letting a clapper go. You just don't see it much anymore. As far as active players go, Gionta used to do it.
