I'd say ceiling is 40 goal scorer. I think he'll be a 25-30 goal scorer though.

Don't expect anything from him in the A cause its hard to know how his pro game will form.

From the few games I saw of him last year on TV he wasn't the greatest skater, which, given his size, isn't that great of a combo.

He definitely has to work on his skating and defensive play, but he has good hands and his bread and butter is his work in the offensive zone.

This is true, his skating is not an a strength. However, neither was it a strength for Igor Larionov, who Zlobin says he models his game after. He will excel with smartness, vision, passing. His shot is good and is good at scoring when near the net. More of a clever player than an end to end dangler. Wasn't happy to see him left off the WJC team.

Would be great if he pans out, his first challenge will be forcing his way into WBS top 6.

He was a hell of a junior player in the Q. He definitely stood out as someone who controlled the play with his skill and IQ. I think he'll be an NHL player sooner or later.

that would be great, i think he's more of a playmaker than people think. 62 assits is very good.

I could see him as an hybrid mix between Jiri Hudler and Michael Ryder... but despite his 62 assists I still see him more as a shooter than a playmaker...

Seems like a real long-shot to ever be an NHL player. Seems like a guy who leaves after a season or two in the AHL to go play in europe somewhere.

Have my doubts on Zlobin, isnt the greatest skater or the hardest worker. Skills is good but not top-end. Decent playmaking, vision and shooting. More of a passer but still shoots from time to time. Defensive play needs a lot of work. Wouldn't be surprised to see him start in the ECHL, depending on how deep WBS is.

He did pick up an injury so he might not be ready to start the season which is unfortunate as I'd like to see him in pre-season. Pens don't have a ton of top end AHL players but they've got 13 forwards including Zlobin who are going to make up the Baby Pens forward core plus potentially the 13th Forward on the big pens. Hopefully he's will to put the effort in to improve his defensive work as he wont go far with the Pens if he floats too much.
