Definitely headed to Europe. That injury last year killed any chance he had at sticking in the NHL, really bad luck.

this was supposed to happen last 1 and a half months ago, when he didn't make the team

Really too bad. This guy has a ton of skill, and works pretty hard. Just can't catch a break.

Not attaching or slamming any league here. 2 seasons ago he was, one of the best in that league.

Barely made the nhl.

Meanwhile plenty of players from the ahl can make that leap. Quite sad that best player in the sel can’t even make the nhl. Sure he was injured last year, but he was a borderline player anyways.

Yeah, it has absolutely nothing to do with the serious knee injury that he never recovered from, right?

Wasn’t a NA skater! Needs the time and space the big ice allows a player of his ilk. He’s not physical nor is he strong, his skating took a massive hit with that cut on his knee and he never recovered to even close to 100%. He never gained chemistry with a single Canuck or Comet, continued to work but wasn’t give a chance as his roster placement is limited with his style.
The fact he was willing to try Utica again after so many years in Canucks affiliations over here making nothing was cool. But he just never gonna have the ability to knock someone off the depth chart. The smartest thing would be to sign back in Sweden and make money until that knee forces him into retirement

He was hurt on 19 January of the 2015/16 season and missed the rest of the year. Comes back and plays 3 games — around Christmas — in 2016/ 17 but the knee is no good/he re injuries it so he shuts down the entire season too. There are question marks if he ever will get back to 100%.

But lol you make it about the AHL vs the SHL?

He's rumored to be signing with HC Davos. Still wonder why Desjardins decided to ride him so hard in the pre season last year if he wasn't 100%.

Even despite that he still looked like a very deadly player last pre-season before re-aggravating the injury because they rode him for all he was worth
