It's the annual ranking! This is not the poll - this is where the poll results will go. The polling will begin on Sunday afternoon, Nebraska time, once the rookie camp concludes and everyone has had a chance to digest the reports. Each poll be open for 48 hours. In the event of a tie, a 24-hour runoff will be held. The winner will get the open spot; the loser will go back into the pool, not get the next-lowest rank. The poll will go up to #25.

Prior years results (that I could find):
2004-05 Lockout II Edition
2010 Edition
2011 Edition
2012 Edition
(if anyone can find other years, let me know and I'll add them)

Lol at 2005 rankings.

Parenteau and Perrolt as the 20 and 21 place.

We got a lot of good players then actually. This year will be stocked!

But what we do if someone is already voted in, gets traded?

If the 2005 rankings show anything its that we should dispel the notion that all of our prospects are going to pan out to their potentials.

But can't wait for this! Should be our most exciting poll yet, so much organizational depth.

Joseph Cramarossa , saw him play quite a bit this year, some offensive upside, but he really feels like a Rob Nediermeyer type of guy. Going be quite the two way player, guy plays with so much heart.

Loves to come in wide and shovel the puck into the crease, gets into the hard area's and the guys got some hands. Should be factor into top 9 in Norfolk this year.

Belleville Bulls Assitant GM Barclay Branch , only complaint was the occasional inconsistent play, fire is always there just the burner can be on low for extented periods of the game.

Who is listed as REDACTED?

Oh wait, nvm that's an easy one.

Excited how this poll goes, we have a deep pool of prospects. I think Gibson will be receiving my vote for #1.

Man, I remember how high everyone, including myself, was on Clark back in 2010. Probably won't even crack the Top 20 this season.

Mark Popovic is Canadian, right? I always thought so, despite his last name.

Ummm like Joe Sakic? I think both are of croatian descent.

Anyway, I'm glad this doesn't go back to 90's when people were cheerleading for players like Aalto, Smirnov etc. What a horrible period that was.

Makes sense. Don't really know much about him, but just remember him when I used to play EHM back in the day.

I think so. Man, after the first 5 or so our old list of prospects blew.

edit- nope, we drafted him, 35th in 2001. But he ended up in Atlanta. For Kip Brennan, ouch.

Several late bloomers though. Really wish we didn't give up on glencross so early.

Yeah. Up until about 2002 we were a horrible drafting team. Davidsson, Balmochnykh, Rybin, Vishnevski, Holmqvist - lots of untranslatable Euro league talent.

I filled out my top 20 pretty fast...i have some prospects i think very highly of outside of the top 10 we are just so deep in prospects right now they didn't fit in...the last 5 was a little tough for me.

Who the **** is Holmqvist?

Never panned out, but he was an ok bottom six checker/penalty killer with the Blackhawks, but eventually decided to go home. The Mighty Ducks traded him to Chicago for Travis Moen soon after the lockout was over.

When he was here in Anaheim, he hung out with Pahlsson. I actually got to play some billiard with both of them after a game at local spot. They're both funny guys. I had like six to eight female friends who happen to also be puck bunnies at the locale with me, the only guy in the bunch. Those two guys made their night. I was cracking up so hard because each girl was throwing themselves at both of them and they, Holmqvst and Pahlsson knew it too. Sad, but thoroughly entertaining.

Wow the system in 05' is better than I remember it being. Getzlaf, Perry, Kunitz, Penner have all been legit top 6 forwards in their careers, Bryzgalov has been a top 10 goalie some years in the entire league. Smid has been a top 4 D, and Parenteau/Foster/SOB/Konopka have been NHL regulars. I think Jordan Smith would have been as well if not for the eye injury

overall I think the forum has done a nice job ranking this years crop. it's crazy how quickly DSP might be getting passed over similar to Branden McMillan. DSP is going to have a hard time making the team even if he has a great camp.
