Wowzers. Never missed a game since the start of his career, 30 years young and having a decent season so far.

Currently 4th longest streak in NHL history, longest active streak, and second longest streak from a start of a career.

If I remember correctly the record is 964 games I think. Too lazy to check. So another 2 seasons and a bit to break it.

I absolutely love these kind of stats, I'm rooting for him to beat Jarvis \o/

Never thought Cogs would be on his way to break Karlis Skrastins (i think) record. Impressive.

I know that isnt a hall of fame talent, but could we at least recognize in the future of his incredible consistency? I would bid on him to make the hall if he plays 1000 games in a row, but thats just me and i have no idea what the halls pattern is or way of the hall to put people in.

Wow, that’s an impressive streak. Surprised it hasn’t gained more attention.

It’s very very hard to do this in such a physically intense league with such a condensed travel schedule. There are a million reasons to miss a game.

He doesn't look it on the ice but IRL he's pretty cut. Great guy. Happy for him.

That's actually a good point. I kind of root for it being more of a Hall of FAME instead of Hall of Whatever Arbitrarily Is Good Enough. Surely at this point of Cog's career and at this HOF climate it''s quite preposterous to think of Cogliano as a HOF player, but what if he plays 1000 consecutive games? 1200? That's got to count for something. I definitely would be more interested in seeing players with achievements like that included instead of these "compiled a good amount of points but never was anything special" type of players.

I'm surprised no one has managed to take him out yet. That is honestly amazing.

He did leave a game pretty early once after (I think) getting a stick in the mouth that knocked some teeth out.

I still cringe every time Cogs takes a big hit. But then he pops right up and keeps playing.
