Ok, I see it now. I was looking at a different pic I think, from the instagram feed. On that one, the flare of the 9 closes the loop to make the 8 but it's clearly faded. In the pic you have it looks to be the same intensity the whole way around.

I imagine in person, it looks more clearly like a 9.

Yeah that looks more like a 9 there agreed

I have been admiring Andy's mask all season (still wondering why there is no Senators logo though) but on TV, I could not see that faded image of Bryan Murray, that is a really nice touch.
