I find it amazing how quickly your prospect pool can evaporate. I mean, a couple years ago I was stacked with guys like Staal, Malkin, and on and on.

But graduation and trades to improve....and dealing away picks, it's just gone.

I have one more big year of graduation coming up this year, because Price, Letang, Krejci, Welch, Greene, Callahan and Quincey could or should all graduate. But after that, I'm so dry, just because I haven't had a first round pick in two years. And then you're in trouble unless you have a young team, because you're without assets for trade.
