Huge goalie, fairly athletic and plays aggressive, but with appearance of being "unrefined". Deficient in the areas you'd expect from a larger goalie (coordination, five hole etc).

Statistically had taken a step back this year with the Gulls compared to his successful AHL tenure with the Wings, albeit a small sample size.
