I am pretty sure the Ducks put up a fake hockeydb profile of a player who never existed in order to trick Dorion into giving them Patrick Sieloff.

As expected ... Ottawa acquires a warm body to play in the NHL so that they can send one of their young guys back down. Sieloff was 7th D in Belleville.

Don't be surprised if there are 2-3 more guys like Gibbons and Duclair traded to Ottawa. There are a few more players that they would like to get back down to try to push for the AHL playoffs.

Sieloff was under contract until 2020 so this deal likely clears a contract spot for Ottawa.

Gibbons doesn't have much value but at least he's a borderline NHLer who can fill a jersey for the 20 or so remaining games.
