I don't think it's a steal. could be, but not at this point. he's not shown he can even consistently stay in the lineup and our D hasn't exactly been "stacked".
to me this feels like a little more than it should be (not a bad contract by any means), but Murray did it to get the deal over with and try and prevent someone from claiming him on waivers should he get waived, which I think is fairly likely honestly.
Anaheim seems to be getting these deals done well ahead of the off season. Larsson was the last remaining NHL RFA, just a handful of prospects/minor leaguers to sign.
Terry, Guhle, Larsson, Djoos, Hakanpaa, Milano all signed since the shutdown.
