Don't know if this would be the right place, and I didn't want to start a new thread, so I will ask here.

My team just purchased a second set of Jerseys from Jonco/Athletic Knit. In my old jersey, I wore a large and it was a little big, but nothing unusual so I didn't bother changing my size when we placed our order for the new ones. This new jersey though is HUGE, I'm swimming in this thing.

The length is about a good 2 inches longer than my old one, but most of all the sleeves legitimately look like a wizard's robe. Since its a custom jersey with our team logo and my name on it, I dont think a return is an option.

Is it possible to alter a hockey jersey or shrink it?

Of course it is. Break out the sewing machine and go to town. You can't shrink polyester, but jerseys are reasonably simple to alter. Some alterations may be easier than others (narrowing the sleeves is harder if your team sprung for the reinforced elbows, for example), but doing stuff like moving hems around is pretty simple.
