When you think about it,that Spain from 2010 WC is kind of overrated. Mostly because people automatically think about whole period of Spain's domination 2008-2012.
From all three tournaments, 2010 WC was Spain's weakest offensive tournament.Villa scored 5 goals nad dissapeard in last two games.

However, they truly dominated ALL 7 games. Yes,they lost to Switzerland by pure accident.
Also, they won all games with 1-0 and they were much better team in all those games.

As much as they were so dominanting, they could EASILY lost in any of those games. Robben,Kroos missed 100% chance not to mention Cardozo penelty and that disallowed goal of Paraguay.

Euro 2012 peakest peak of any national team and last mark of Spain international football.

With all this facts, question is: How would they handle teams like Brazil 1970,France 1998,Germany 1990 or Brazil 2002 if they just barely defeat much inferior temas like Paraguay 2010 or even Holland 2010?

Pretty fitting that they won one of the shittiest world cups of all time. Spain was borderline unwatchable that entire tournament.

France 98 has no business winning that poll.
Amazing defense but so many breaks it's not funny.
Brazil 70 is the obvious one.
After that it's tough. Germany 90 would be there IMO.

Best NT my dad has ever seen and I can see why
Pele was his idol though so might be biased lol

He also says it's the best WC he has ever seen to date, because there weren't a lot of weak teams

Germany 1990 was great too

Best team that didn't win the WC : 1982 Brazil?

France in 98 played really one great match (not counting overmatched opponents like SAR or Saudi Arabia), luckily for them, it was in the Finals against Brazil so everyone remembers then being better than they were. Needed a 114' goal by Blanc to get by Paraguay, needed penalties to get through Italy and two wonder goals to get by Croatia, scored by a guy who never scored for his nation other than in that game despite playing 142 games for them.

Yup, Brazil 82-86 and France 02. HM to the Magyars.
France 02 : Best player in the world, all time defense and attack of Henry, Trezeguet, Cisse, Anelka, etc... (leading scorers of Italy, France and England)
Not a single win and out by group stage.

The thing with Spain was that they were boring as eff, and certainly the kind of team you'd want to lose, but their win also kinda felt inevitable in a way you can't say about many of the others.

Robben just needed to score that 1v1.

Brazil 1970 would be one for me. 98 France 2 and then there were a couple for third. I went with the Spain team for their general dominance over that 6 year span.
