How are there no votes for this team? Especially the defense... Perry doubles as a FB, can't kick or punt to Hester(while has Marino throwing to em).

I haven't decided or voted yet. The Fridge won no honors as a DL in his career and has 8 rushes for 5 yards. All of Hester's honors are for special teams. If you had drafted a better DL such as Lee Roy Selmon (before I drafted him) and a better WR than Hester such as Harold Carmichael or Art Powell the voters may have liked your team better.

For me it was the receiving talent. I think when there's no designated spot for a KR or PR and no one else drafts a return specialist I'm not really sure how to evaluate Hester. You also had someone like Patrick Peterson who is more than good enough to handle return duties. I also don't really know how to judge the Sean Taylor pick given his career tragically cut short. I think someone like Miller works better in a 3-4, but I have some of that going on myself with my LBs. I think some think of it as more regimented where players can't play both, but if they're talented and versatile enough they can.

Then again, I don't think any team comes close to my receiving talent but my team's doing poorly in this as well (I'd assume mostly my linebackers or recency bias) so I'm not sure what most are looking for for this.

I agree with you until you brought up Carmichael. Absolute star....great player. But...too many Bears, yes.

To me it's about building a team that can match the best of the best for the win.

I was considering Carmichael because of his height, but with Ocho's route mastery, I wanted to break up the back field a bit with Hester's speed. Irvin on the other side explains itself. Hester's also pretty damn good receiver considering he hasn't played on the same Bears team the other Bears I picked played on. Marino puts him to potential. And Peterson and Hester taking the kicks, you're better off going for it on 4th.

With the Fridge, he didn't have too many sacks, but he didn't let many by either. He wasn't one to be manhandled by anyone and adds to the chemistry with Dent and Singletary.

Sean Taylor put up a career highlight reel as long and more fun to watch than damn near anyone else's, and in just 3 years of playing. He makes my all time team if I can pick anyone and everyone.
