August 15th deadline approaching...Hawks have 1 unsigned college draftees Senior=Josh Ess but probably do notvsign him and he goes ufa...

But are there any pending ufa's from unsigned college draftees of other teams that Hawks might be interested in signing?

What surprised me is how much the model hates Kirby. If he doesn’t develop into a 1C the Hawks are screwed. I still believe in him but it might be a fool's errand.

I think you've gone down a rabbit hole of looking at too many of these analytic sites and it's impacting your ability to objectively look at players.

Kirby Dach is well ahead of his draft class in development and does not look out of place on the Blackhawks, in fact he was playing top minutes in the bubble. It's too bad he broke his wrist because we would have seen how he compared to his peer group at World Juniors and been super impressed. Is he going to be a scoring powerhouse? There's definitely indications he has a scoring touch but what's really impressive about him is the indications that he is going to be an all-around centre that can play on the PP, PK and against top matchups. Match that with a scoring threat like DeBrincat who is only three years older and you have a very, very good future pair.

All those charts showing other players are better and more likely to be NHL stars? Ok. Get back to me when they make the show. If you compare that guy's charts at the same point, Dylan Strome is much more likely to be an NHL star than Kirby Dach. And yet ...

Edit: Here's the cards

These are stats charts hat are essentially entirely points base. Dachs biggested notable was he has the tools but should of scored more in the WHL. And such. Defensive dmen being low is clearly the case.

And they bring up in those articles valid topics that often great NHL Defensive players weren't Defensive in junior. Hjalmarsson was a decent point guy in Sweden or Marc Edward Vlasic was a point producer. But there's also your Connor Murphy types who were drafted and maintain Defensive dmen status.

Still below average skating for Kurashev, even doubles down in the text. Clearly hasn't seen the guy still, just that he was on the team for the whole year.
He was down on Kurashev with fans rallying against him last summer I recall,, guess he decided to boost him but not change the statements.

1.What's up with Louis Crevier....overage rights traded from Chicoutimi to Quebec Ramparts...So far he has not played for the Ramoaets....Hawjs have not signed him and still have his NHL rights till end of this seadon...haven't hear d that Rockford signed him...so where is he goibg to play this season if he has notjoined Quebec (yet?)...
Is he getting an invitation to Hawks rookies set of games with Minnesota and only then will Hawks decide on where he plays?

Usually juniors who have not yet signed still report to Junior teams who may already be playing regular season games already (eg.the Q) until they leave for Rookies Tournaments if given a chance there...Tgen ifvtgey impress the NHL team may decide to sign them and whether signedbir unsigned they may be sent back for another yeR of Junior if that is their only option...But Crevier is 20 years old...could pkay in AHL or at Indy if Hawks decide that is better for hom than another year in tge Q.

So quite mysterious since he has not played with Quebec yet and si U wonder if that was to guard agaibst injury before possibly trying out at Hawks rookie set with Minnesota or at nail camp if invited?

Or did he simply already get injured and that explains why he has not yet played for Quebec this aeason?

Anyone got the scoop on Crevier and what us going on?
