I remember stuff like Jesus Jones and Fine Young Cannibals. Which I guess were more on the rock part of the pop prism, but..

I'm old enough to remember in the early 90s on (I'm assuming) top 40 radio, Amy Grant, Celine Dion, En Vogue, Expose, and Boyz 2 Men among others. I don't remember grunge, and I don't remember when rap was starting to take off

Interestingly I've heard stories that top-40 stations didn't really play what was considered "Black music" until about 1992. But I specifically remember En Vogue and Boyz 2 Men back then.
