Giroux most certainly is. There isn't an argument either.

Points/60 5v4 from 2014-15, 2013-14, 2013, 2011-12
Giroux 9.08, 7.26, 7.09, 6.94
JVR 5.92, 3.71, 2.37, 2.54(in Philadelphia)
Tavares 5.17, 5.84, 5.67, 6.31
Nash 3.87, 2.35, 3.25, 3.29(in Columbus)

If you want the net presence why not go with Wayne Simmonds who has scored the 2nd most goals on the powerplay in the last 4 years?

Hate the Flyers but this guy should probably be there right with Giroux.

I did say Nash/JVR/whoever because I didn't feel like naming every single good net front presence in the league, so it can be Simmonds. Wouldn't be my personal pick, but wouldn't really object to it. My point is that I'd rather go with a traditional PP unit with all the roles filled than a unit of the five best PP guys in the league. Giroux might be a better PP than those players that I named, and even maybe by a substantial margin, but I'm not sure if he would end up helping that PP more than a true net front presence would.

Ish. Just Imagine Crosby and Datsyuk feeding one-timers to either Ovi, Subban, or Malkin. And Malkin's playmaking is just a dangerous as Dats and Sids.

Taking into account scheme (1-3-1, right handed shooter on left circle, right handed shooter in the slot, right handed dman at the point, left handed playmaker at the right circle, left handed playmaker on the right side goal line), East:

.............Backstrom.........
Ovechkin...Giroux...Crosby
.............Karlsson............

I'd put Malkin over Backstrom if that position had any shooting responsibilities at all, but it doesn't. It's like 99.999% passing.
