If true .... no big loss. Sutter will be coming back soon, and Bo hopefully shortly after that. Really no spot for him. Good luck to him in the Olympics.

What? He didn't like being around a team with such a "competitive" environment?

Too bad. He wasn't a world beater, but I thought he had a decent stretch centering Boeser where he looked to be of some use. Given his cap hit, there's a very reasonable argument to make that despite probably being a worse player, he provides more utility per dollar than Gagner.

Think it says more about the team environment than his actual play that he is forcing the issue through retirement rather than sticking it out for the year, but his actual performance was obviously lacking. The team basically came out and said they're shopping him, and clearly found no takers which probably expedited the decision.

Wish him the best.

He wasn't even that good the last time he was with Kazan in the KHL.

He's had his chances to be an NHL player both in Winnipeg and here.
Both weren't stacked playoff teams, so he had plenty of opportunities to compete for a spot with average players

He can go join Tikhonov, Shirokov, Plotnikov

Was worth a shot in the summer. Didn't work out, but no big loss.
