He’s used as their 7th most forward. He has been since coming to Vegas. He is a 3rd line forward there.

The player you are labeling as a third line player in Zacha is used in almost identical usage as you just listed, plays center, and is 6’3 and 210 pounds.
He's a third line player because no one will ever break Stone and Pacioretty up and the second line has been together since game 3 of the inaugural season and aren't being broken up either. Tuch would be at least a second line RW on a lot of teams.

they don’t match up at all. In all the significant possession, play driving and expected goals stats, Tuch is excellent where as Zacha has a deeply negative xGF, terrible Corsi and relative Corsi. And he’s 3rd line on one of the worst teams in the NHL so he’s someone below or more forwards on his non playoff team.

Tuch’s point shares are much higher. The give away vs take away metics are polar opposite. One guys loses the puck a lot. The other guys wins it a lot.

There is virtually nothing statistically comparable here other than age and size. One guy (Tuch) makes good things happen on the ice based on his strong analytical tracking. The other guy, bad things happen to his team when he’s on the ice.

Neat. You're the one that said Tuch was a first line player in Vegas. That is what I was speaking to.

One guy is a very good player as backed by his stats. The other guy is a negative player on the ice based on his stats.

When exactly have we seen a 50 pt winger moved for a franchise center?

I love what Tuch brings, but Hischer for Tuch would be a hilariously bad deal. Zacha + protected 1st in the off season seems like a fair deal TBH.
Hischier is a franchise player?

Kaprizov and Greenway were on the table instead of Haula?
Vegas was given the choice between Tuch, Greenway, or Kaprizov to make Haula be their player choice. The Wild couldn’t protect all their defenseman and Haula was about to price himself off the team. Vegas took Tuch.
