Bulletin:

- Connor LaCouvee gets the start:

- Karl Alzner will miss the game tonight because his wife gave birth to a baby boy. Congrats Karl!

According to Raphaël Doucet, Alzner wanted to play tonight, but Bouchard insisted he stays with his wife and newborn. He will travel with the team to Utica tomorrow. Ryan Culkin will play in Alzner's absence.

I follow this current squad for 3 reasons
Fleury
Evans
Vejdemo

They are the three more promising prospects right now. But I've liked watching Verbeek, Pezzetta, and Waked, particularly lately. Depth AHL players, but they've been coming out of their shells lately and they are fun. Verbeek's speed alone makes me go wow every time. I also like Alain.

But the three you mentioned are the Top-3. Can't wait for next year when some more interesting prospects become eligible for the AHL.

For those who don't speak French, Grenier is at 98 career AHL goals and is letting his beard grow until he reaches 100 goals. His wife can't wait until he hits the milestone.

Laval is really aggressive on Providence. Not giving them anything. They're making them struggle to exit their zone.

Edit: and as I type that, Providence scores to make it 1-0.

Kotkaniemi is in attendance tonight.

He's sitting in a loge with a Finnish player from the Providence Bruins, who is not in the line-up due to injury.

After 1 period, it's 1-0 for Providence. But Laval was dominating all period. 11-5 shots for the Rocket.

The goal against was a softie let in by LaCouvee. He's been stellar again except for that goal.

It all started in Laval's zone by a big hit by Lernout to get the puck off Providence and Grenier went up the ice with Evans. A real good zone entry as Grenier just drop passes it to Evans, who carries it to the net. Audette swoops in and bangs in the rebound.
