After a great performance last night, giving the ADevs a 1-0 lead in the series, the baby Devs are back at it again today!


Last night's game featured heroics from a few key players, such as our resident sniper Reid Boucher

The Great Blandisi

and Pavel Bust- er Zacha

I'd think it's only a matter of time before they move them out west, which is too bad because the Aud is a great place to see a game and the Comets have definitely been a bit of a boon to struggling downtown Utica.

Wish I could be back east to catch one of these games in person. Go Devils!

Those highlights...man Zacha is going to be special.

He made some fantastic passes last night, and just some great all around play: a few really nice backchecks, one sequence where he just absolutely turned around Jordan Subban behind the Comets' net, etc.

For all the talk about him not translating to center in the NHL, he looked like way more of a playmaker than a sniper to me. If anything I thought he could've held the puck and just taken the shot in a few instances.

You could tell that the experience they(the ones who were up with the big team) gained in the NHL are translating well to the AHL. They are basically men among the boys there with their skill.

Here's hoping they take Game 2.

Some big hits ........ THOMSON SCORES FROM SEVERSON TIES 1-1.... so far this game, looks more physical then yesterday.

Ben Thomson is the LW on Albany's fourth line (with Pelley) which is the one that scored. He was a Devils draft pick.

Paul Thompson is the RW on the third line (with Zacha) which is the one that played on the NHL team this year.

Not sure if you spelt it wrong or confused the two, but just wanted to clarify that.

Great poise by severson on that goal. I was like shoot it!,but ended up working out for Thomson on the tap in.

Uticas goal was soft. Wedgewood needs to stop that.

End of the 1st. Sloppy by the Devils but the Comets didnt play that great either. Much more physical then yesterday. Devils played slightly better the last 5 minutes then the first 15 hopefully they woke up some. Still tied 1-1
