Foley did say he'd do just about anything to keep McCrimmon.

(He also may have decided not to go. Edmonton is such a mess, it may not be possible to "clean things up" within 2-3 years. And there's also the possibility that the new GM was not given enough autonomy to do the job with the old boys club looking over the previous GMs' shoulders.)

(Which probably means that he won't go to Seattle either.)

I like this. Of all the offseason moves, this one make the most sense. Always remember: teams win from the top down. GMKM is harder to type, but I'm on board!

I personally think it's status quo for the most part.

He's got the title and he's the new face, something I think he likely deserves. I don't know how much will change though, or how much I'd want it to change anyway.

Agreed that not much will change. Hes had his hands in all moves and signings as it is so far. You guys are in good hands for many years with him as the GM
