I hope the Pens beat the Caps in game 5 just so Orpik can feel like a **** for him causing his team to lose all 3 of the games he was suspended for

Need to shut up the vice versa nature of these playoffs by winning game 5. If we lose a 3-1 series lead to the Caps we truly are in bizarro world.

I don't disagree, but he had his 2 games, uneven at best, and the playoffs isn't really the place to let someone "work through it"

i was heartily in the two game camp - 1 to get legs and mind back and the second to be ready to play his game. if anything, he had one bad period and two better ones in his first game while being pretty shaky throughout his second. not the progression i hoped to see.

Reading their posts both here and /r/hockey is just an amazing way to start the day. Equal measure of "Major League" Randy Quaid doom-and-gloom and overly optimistic children who clearly haven't watched the Caps long enough to have their hearts ripped out and **** on. It's glorious.

Yea, Schultz should play.
He looks a tad more confident than Pouliot at the moment.

Stretch run D setup:

Daley-Letang
Dumo-LJ
Cole-Schultz

or

Dumo-Letang
Daley-LJ
Cole-Schultz

I came away with the same assessment. I saw him get better and more confident as Game 3 progressed and in Game 4 I just didn't see anything, outside of two or three small plays scattered throughout, that made me think that he can be counted on in the playoffs for a long stretch.

Positives of this team

4 scoring lines. Every line is capable of scoring.

Crosby can shutdown lines (I already knew this) and I realize he isn't scoring but if you compare are 1st line with there's I will trade Crosby getting shutout for Ovechkin to be shut out

Trotz seems to out line match himself at away games
Are goalie is on par with a Vezina nominee

Negatives
Bottom pairing - easy fix play shultz and just in the O zone. Slightly different then with scuderi since he can do something there.

Sullivan - can't line match well.
Honestly at times I think trotz get better line matches sometimes when we are the home team.
Crosby could be injured? Idk he may just be in a funk but as long who knows

Overall series could be anywhere caps score a goal. A penalty gets called a goalie doesn't make a save or makes one. Very even series

this team could really use a win on saturday and a long series on long island. crosby looks like he could use a good week off to try and get his legs right. hope they bring that mentality and are merciless in game 5.

Here's a great idea: Hire a coach with minimal playoff success to lead a team of perennial second round choke artists to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Those goofballs don't want to accept it but their core blows. They don't have the stomach's for playoff hockey and never have. Saw some Pens fans posting here about how great the caps are because of their regular season, because that means anything. We of all fan bases should know better.

**** that team and **** their dainty fly by night fans that make up the majority of their fan base.
