That does sound odd though doesn't it? 68 games for AHL-West? The rest gets 76?...

you are assuming the rest of the league isn't changing though, if they change it won't be as bad

this summer the AHL will see more than 1/3 of teams relocate or change affiliations.

[Anaheim] Norfolk Admirals will move and become the San Diego Gulls
[Arizona] Changing their affiliate from Portland Pirates and become the Springfield Falcons
