Once per game? Man oh man is that not true.

Also note how Saros is cheating and not squared at all to the shooter.

If this goal happens once a game and could be easily remedied by standing up, why do no NHL goalies do that?
Because then the shooter will see the goalie is standing up, pass it off to someone who will rip a one-time, and the goalie won't be able to have set himself in front of the shot yet because he had been too busy standing at the post.

Crosby comes to mind, on those short side shots where there's not much daylight.

Forsberg no-look

Every once in a while Kopitar just uncorks one that makes you go “whoa please shoot much more”

And for sheer “f*** you I’m not passing” and seasonal significance here’s Stoll

Off Tim Peel's junk and picks the corner, all with the same shot.

Bonus points: goalie almost saved it

So, if it had ricocheted off the goalie and in, would it have counted?

not a game breaking goal, but probs one of the sickest goals ive seen.

screened backhand ripper, top corner far side from the f-o circle...

only this guy could ever do it

To be fair, it was against Antti Niemi, not exactly a paragon of positioning.

I think of this one. It shows how great even a fringe NHLer can shoot. It's a laser right where the post and crossbar meet.
