HIGHLY doubt that Carolina selects Small LHD.

1. Carolina is stacked on D both in present and future (Slavin, de Haan, Fleury and Bean).

2. Owner Tom Dundon himself said that Carolina wont draft D in the 1st round. https://i.redd.it/mowd5omrw4421.jpg

3. Carolina's needs are offensively talented RHS forward, even better if center.

I'll take note of that, I'm not all that convinced that the d-mans you mentionned makes up for a very strong D prospect pool but it's not a flaw, you're right. I also can't argue with the owner's perspective, which I didn't knew about.

I'll review the mock at some point and it will probably reflect what you just mentionned.

Don't like Broberg but that's just personal preference. I think you did a good overall mock

I get that about Broberg. I'm first and foremost a habs fan and I would personally love to take Heinola at the 15th spot, but I'm now unsure that he'll be there at this spot, he played really well and progressed throughout the season quite a bit. I also feel that he could be Yandle's replacement down the road for a team like Florida. I feel that the habs will take a D-man and that Soderstrom is a bit too conservative offensively, we already have a bunch of those. Broberg has flaws, but also great assets. I feel that the habs can afford to take the chance given our solid prospect pool.

Canucks avoid Russians. Can't see them taking Pod.

Thanks for the comment, I'll take it into consideration. I was thinking about some changes in the top 10, so it'll probably reflect that.

It's a moving mock, I intend to make changes to it and won't finalize it until about two weeks before the draft, things can change since then and my opinon can too.

I can see the Canes stealing Dorofeyev right under the f***ing Rangers' eyes and I kind of hope for it.

The Rangers are beyond saturated at York's position and they went D heavy last year. This year they should go forward heavy
Yeah, they should, but they also shouldn’t have taken a goalie in the second round last year. Yet, they did.

Some teams are very serious about the concept of “BPA”. The Rangers strike me as a team that will take the best player available (in their minds) regardless of position.

And York at 22 is a very, very good value pick in my opinion. I’d take him over any of our LD that isn’t Miller, personally.

Up. Lots of changes. Top-22 should stay very similar, but there might be somes changes around 23-31. If anyone has comments about 23-31, please let me know.
