When the NHL season returns...

Whenever the NHL proposes a rule change, or a schedule change, they put it to a NHLPA vote. Would get them to work as "partners", would it not?

I think that is a good idea in spirit.... but different positions will prefer different rules.

i.e. All forwards would be in favor of smaller equipment on goalies, but I am sure the goalies aren't excited about it. Unfortunately for the goalies they are grossly outnumbered.

I don't think it should go to an NHLPA-wide vote persay, but rather the NHLPA should have more permanent representation on the league's various committees, ad their input should be considered.

Im sure they could split goalies and skaters up. I mean, if there was a proposed change, that had an effect on the goalies. Say 75% of the players are for it. It would then go to the goalies, and if more than 50% of the goalies are against it then the rule is scrapped.

I have a better way- ignore 60+ years of owner/player history.

If salaries are going to be tied to revenue than yes, the PA should have a major say in rule changes and such.
