i think this needs for the Jets would need to be addressed in the off season. They do have the cap space. Do we see a trade or a signing in the off season.

We can't do anything for you defensman wise, but we have Domi/Danault that can be add for the right return.

In my opinion, Danault is the better all around center and would cost more than Domi because he is a big need for us. But Domi is better offensively. Depends what you are looking for and what you can pay...

Buffalo could part with one of Ristolainen or Montour BUT we'd probably be looking for a 2c coming back. Probably not a good fit if you're also looking for a center.

Most teams are robbing one to get the other. NYR have DeAngelo as RD PPQB. Problem is we need a C in return, the level of which you don’t really have to offer or the ask would be Morrissey with NYR adding which would go over like a fart in church, even a church in the Peg.

Danault would be a non starter due to his contract status TBH, he would just be one more short term solution which isn't worth exploring. Assuming you believe recent comments regarding Domi opinion of Canadian weather sounds like he would be a doughtful target for the Jets to go after. Neither sounds like a likely solution/target.

PS: I don't see any need for a PP QB specialist, far bigger needs to spend cap space on then improving this position.

Considering that most of the guys of value that Jets have are guys they wouldn't or shouldn't move (and considering the pieces Jets fans on here would move), I think Free Agent Signings or trades for guys on teams that need to/should clear cap space (like a Leddy) is more likely than trading for a more permanent solution.

Fair enough about Danault.

I didn't hear anything about that. Do you have a link or something. I mean if die hard canadians begin to shit on their own country, we better close all canadians teams right now. I don't think it is true honestly.

Considering a lot of teams are going to be capped out or in cap hell this off season, it is the perfect time to pony up draft picks and leverage your cap space to get a 2C.

I can see guys like Strome or TJ available for cheap.

I agree with you on 2C, though I'll admit, I'm a fan of Blake Wheeler as 2C. If the Jets don't want that, then I agree it's a need. Bryan Little may not even play again.

But Neal Pionk is a pretty capable PP QB in my opinion...

Not sure I would consider Domi a Canadian......Dispite being born in Canada, just IMO.

Below is more speculation, not a Rumor due to the fact individual is not a confirmed source albeit he apparently was a retired scout and does know people in the business. Again this is not a rumour or an approved source but falls more in the speculation category which is why I said "if you believe it".........true or false not sure only Domi knows, but certainly enough of a red flag to raise doubt in trading for him if your the Jets.

According to his Twitter bio he is a retired scout who worked for the Hurricanes from 1998 - 2003 and the Capitals from 2004-20in case anyone wondering who this person is and why they tweeted this. See Roger Dicklund Twitter account.

Agreed. Jets have a significant amount of cap space this summer especially if Little retires or goes on LTIR.......able to use that cap space to leverage some 2C is the plan via trade or OS......no good FA out there this summer.

What’s wrong with Pionk and Morrissey? They both appear to be adequate offensive defensemen from an outsiders perspective. The Jets also have so much firepower up front that the cap could likely be spent elsewhere. As for a second line center I imagine someone like Bozak, Point, or Domi would be available on the cheap due to cap space concerns and playing with the Jets wingers would make most of them look good in a pump and trade scenario(worst case scenario)

Agreed no additional PPQB is required, Jets are fine in that area already.....far better things to spend cap on then adding another capable PPQB.

Bozak is not interesting.

Domi, depending on comments around Canadian weather might not be a target. Domi isn't an ideal player/target due to his defensive shortcomings......really depends on his new contract, cost to get him, his desire to play in Canada, etc.

Strome could also be another less then ideal target depending on his cost.

Point would be very interesting, As would Cirelli. ......like has been discussed many times Bolts and other teams are in a difficult cap situation this summer and the Jets have a significant amount of cap room to add cap......especially if Little retires or goes on LTIR like the speculation is.

Since Chicago hasn't made offer, so here is one Keith, Seabrook and Strome for Lowry and Kulikov.

Jets don't have really bad contracts to be traded in our direction.

Kuli is a UFA this summer so he isn’t part of the team once this season ends.

Jets will pass on that offer
