Nice. I go to the Aqua Wellness Center up there every once in awhile. Heading to Big Sur or just being a yuppie like usual?

Wait a second.. Big Sur is for yuppies :P
Came down for the birthday weekend with some friends. Heading back to SF shortly. Can’t believe anyone uses the word “yuppie “ anymore lol…so 80s…plus I’m not “young”

PP2 isn't a real lineup... Right?

PP2 ain’t that bad. Let Carter stand in front and everyone else can rip shots at him. Zohorna is the real wildcard on that one. Props to Sully at least for rewarding Z’s play and not just trotting DOC (who still has zero career PP points) out there again.

Yea Carter still has hands around the front of the net. He is a legit net front presence for a power play.

He also does win faceoffs usually so that helps

no. I’m in Carmel actually atm…didn’t mean ”in person”
I don't know if I've told you this before, but I know you're in the Bay Area, right? I'm just across the mountains in Reno.

I went on my honeymoon in Carmel. Actually, it was my second honeymoon. After I went to airport jail on the first honeymoon in Cancun. That was when I married my ex-wife, who was an ex-prostitute. My life is such a mistake.

That’s an awesome story, as someone who’s been to many jails…for work lol…I am a go-to contact for people arrested for prostitution crimes in California….I once took a case of a famous male escort from SF and won his prostitution trial so now I get calls all the time…most of them want free representation lol because they believe prostitution laws are unconstitutional…

I still think when the water level settles this team will be where they were last year; battling it out for a WC spot.

But I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a calamitous spiral for months to (hopefully) ensure Sullivan's fired. Shit, even if they end up drafting in the top-5, I'm not certain they'd fire the guy but instead just shrug and chalk it up to misfortune like they always seem to do.

If anyone can stop him it's the stalwart defensive play of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the steady rock in net, Tristan Jarry.

I bet we win, smells like a game we will do just enough. Though I'm really tempted to hope we struggle a bit more this early to get a new coach in motion...
And then we will give SJ their first win of the year next game as they laugh knowing they have a lottery pick from us whether it’s this year or next.

the difference being last year we had all but secured spot in POs, only after gigantic underachievements against worst teams in NHL we missed the playoffs, this year we are in bareknuckle fight all 82 games just get close and squeeze in...

This year's going pretty similarly to last year so far, tbh. Pens were 4-3-1 after 8 games last year as opposed to 3-5-0 this season. Shit got wild last season through mid-December with the Pens having stretches of winning 5 games in a row, winning 7 games in a row, and losing 7 games in a row by then.

I don't think so. It smells different. The problem is everyone finally realizing that there is no hope anymore that this coach and this team can turn things around and line up bunch of wins, or play consistent winning hockey. Lat year I did not believe they had a remote chance to lose to CBJ or Hawks last year, I would have bet my house on that, this year I would not trust them to win against Wheeling on any given night

Happy to see Smith being moved to pp 1. Not the biggest change but when him and malkin produce as they have 5 on 5 it could be good.

Also, glad to see Z getting more time with pp unit 2. The unit doesn't look great on paper, but he should be getting more ice time anyways.

Anyone else feel more at ease watching the game when Jarry is on the bench compared to a 2nd or 3rd string goalie?

It smells the same. You're just finally genuinely smelling what the Pens have been for a few years now.

I dunno. I'm hoping they bomb out on the season because it takes a significant bit of embarrassment and loss to have this team make any changes. I don't have any faith in FSG to fire Sullivan unless things get real ugly and they miss by miles. Shit, if they'd eeked into the playoffs last spring, Hextall's probably still the GM and we'd be arguing about the team's insistence that Granlund is some stud middle-6 talent and whether Petry wasn't a waste of money on the blueline at 36 and declining badly.
