Tigers will be rolling with a 4 man rotation, and move MadBum into the Pen for this series (and we all know how effective he can be there in the post season). This is a very interesting matchup. On paper, I have the superior lineup, while the bridegrooms have the better starting rotation. The bullpens appear to be a bit of a wash, though I do have the better closer, so I may have a slight edge overall there. I do believe my rotation is good enough to match the compete level of his big 3 though.

In Game 1, Kid Nichols got the Tigers off to a fast start in the series, blanking the Bridegrooms by the score of 3-0. It was Nichols first playoff win in over a century so he was due.

Game 2 saw Pedro Martinez overcome his playoff "Who's Your Daddy?" demons of the past and knot up the series 1-1. Brooklyn pounded out 10 hits and crossed the plate 5 times against the Ryan Express and the series shifted to Detroit after a 6-2 victory.

In Game 3, Jimmie Foxx drove in 3 but it wasn't enough as Frankie Frisch and Arky Vaughan combined for 7 hits at the top of the order and Brooklyn took a 2-1 lead in the series after a 7-3 win.

Game 4 ended as a pitcher's duel with Santana edging out Shocker 1-0, McGwire's double down the left field line being the difference in the 8th. Brooklyn returns home seeking a series win.

In Game 5 the Brooklyn faithful that came out to see their team were treated to another nail biter, but this time Lefty Grove toppled the Kid by a count of 4-1. Brooklyn advances to face the winner of New York/Cleveland.

Great matchup guys I had both teams right near the top.
