Well boys, it was a good run.

For the 6th straight season, the Dallas Stars will miss the playoffs.

We thought that maybe Benn and Seguin could step up

Or that maybe we could get some secondary scoring from Val or Eakin or anyone.

It's ok. I'm sure Jim Nill will do great work with our 1st round pick in the draft.

Maybe we can sign a crucial free agent or two.

And one of our top prospects might hopefully become ready for next year.

Congrats to the Phoenix Coyotes on making the playoffs.

Their entertaining style of play will be appreciated by many.

One more game left in the season, let's make it worthwhile, like usual.

See you guys again in September.

Some in the media have speculated he's playing hurt. There are more obvious players to sit in this situation if this is just a reward, and most teams go even bigger calling up a ton of emergency players. Dallas had that option and chose not to do that.

My guess is he's clearly dealing with some nagging issues, and if that's the case this is a very smart night off. They aren't going to lose chemistry because they didn't play 1 game together.
