I hope Emery plays and we get owned. I think we're going to stay at 7th overall (unless someone leap frogs us, then 8th) and to do that, we need Emery.

I don't mind what happens, win/lose. Outside of the Top5 in this draft is scattered for the most part, whether we finish 6th-10th we will still get a talented player.

Flyers are pretty much guaranteed to finish 7th-9th now.

Only way they can finish 10th is:

Flyers win out (3-0-0) for 88 points.

Dallas go 0-2-1 or worse.

Colorado go 2-1-0 or worse.

Columbus go 2-1-1 or worse.

If the Flyers go 2-1-0 for 86 points 7th or 8th have ~equal chance of happening, any worse than 2-1-0 and 7th place is almost certain.

6th is almost impossible now.

The Isles have pretty much come down back to earth lately. They are beatable and given how good the Flyers haven been at home all season, I could see us picking up the win. Unfortunately. Ouch... that hurts:banghead:

Losing Nielsen is a big loss... especially with Grabovski out as well. It means logically they will have trouble matching vs Giroux, especially with Kulemin promoted to a more offensive role recently and being away.

When the Isles were all healthy they were a matchup nightmare due to their two way forward depth...

^ A let down from Sunday is cause and concern but that is offset by the Flyers recent successes against better squads. A conflict perhaps but whether or not the momentum from the last game exists will be seen in the opening few shifts.

Mason vs. Halak tonight.

My guess is Mason will play in the season finale since that could be an important game for Ottawa's playoffs chances. With Carolina the other team scheduled, that could go to either goalie.

I'm sure the Flyers forwards have been notified to attack when Brian Strait is on the ice for the Isles...

Quality post. I enjoy watching the Isles play honestly, not sure if they have the scoring depth to go deep in the playoffs.

Also, are you are an FC Utrecht fan?

I disagree. There is potentially a big difference. Trust me, you want to pick 7th (6th is a pipe dream). We need to lose.

Man City fan first and foremost, (went to my first game in 1994!) but yep, Utrecht are my favourite Dutch team... Stadion Galgenwaard is IMO one of the best places to watch football. Best game I have been to in my life was November 2011 vs Ajax... Utrecht won 6-4, it was mental... I got very drunk. That season they beat Ajax away as well!
