Picked:

Winnipeg
Nashville
St. Louis
Dallas
**Chicago

San Jose
Vegas
Calgary
**Edmonton

Edmonton and Chicago will battle it out for one of the WC spots. I had a hard time picking between the two so I picked Chicago with them having some wiggle room to make a good move for them to retool a bit.

The lack of love for Chicago is surprising, I think they'll make a big acquisition and make the playoffs this year.
Well how are we supposed to pick Chicago based on a hypothetical trade?

Right now they don't look good enough.

Pacific:
1. Sharks
2. Flames
3. Knights
4. Oilers**

Central:
1. Jets
2. Preds
3. Blues
4. Stars
5. Blackhawks**

I really can't choose between the hawks and the Oilers, so I think both will also be fighting for a wildcard spot.

pretty surprised with how many edmonton votes there are considering its the exact same team that couldnt stop anyone from scoring last year.

Mcdavid and Draisaitl arent enough to overcome 0 defense or depth scoring

Very challenging. Much harder to predict than the East imo

1. Jets
2. Predators
3. Blues

1. Sharks
2. Kings
3. Oilers

WC 1. Stars
WC 2. Avalanche

I'll make a bold prediction and say that Chicago and Arizona both make the playoffs.

They're the lowest rated in the poll right now after Vancouver (with a single vote).

Plenty of changes have been made to make sure last year doesn't repeat.
coaches who ran the worst PK/PP in NHL history have been fired and replaced by much much more competent coaches.
Signed two more good PK's in Brodziak and Reider
We'll have back a healthy Sekera in our blueline, a more developed Nurse, and a top pairing of Klefbom/Larsson with many young D knocking on the door

WPG, NSH, STL, SJ are the big 4 for me, with CGY and VGK right there. I think LAK and COL did enough to improve to maintain possession of the last 2 spots.

I don’t see Minnesota being that low
