We are only looking at their NHL careers, of course. Who would you pick BPA (Best Player Available) ???

Don't pick based on your team needs, etc. Pick on who is better at hockey and what have they done at the NHL level. But for some guys (like Olofsson/Kubalik) what you project them to do.

Please make your suggestions or let me know if there's a mistake or omission.

* Yes Frederik Andersen was initially a 7th round pick but was then drafted again in the 3rd round by the Ducks, which is the one that counts.

Weegar's up. Currently better than Strålman ever was.
Not to speak on Weegar, but Stralman was a borderline number 1 for a few years. He stepped into that role a few times with Hedman injured and did very well in it.

At his best he was one of the best defensive defensemen I've had the pleasure to watch. The guy would go weeks without making a mistake - shift after shift, he was always in the right place. Unfortunately, he didn't hit his peak until his late 20s so it was shorter-lived than other peaks.
