Just as bad, Ghost has made his role utterly redundant. Just more chaff clogging up the toilet that is our blueline. As if we didn't already have enough.
Streit was really good at sneaking shots through accurately and picking his spots, he never had the heaviest or fastest of shots with us. Having two D options for shooting would go a long ways, especially since our PP strategy is essentially to just take screened perimeter shots.
As it is now, it's pretty damn predictable. Ghost is going to try and bomb them in, Giroux is going to do Giroux things. Schenn and Simmonds are going to park in the net and slot areas. Voracek is just going to slob around. Make Streit perform on the PP as well as last season and at least there's more than just Ghost as an high quality option, as far as shooting goes.
