[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

I don’t have the full range of motion right now. There’s a little restriction, there’s a little bit of pain with that.
Already today it feels better than yesterday after some treatment with Ramsay so that’s a good sign.
- Ryan McDonagh

It’s a tough loss tonight overall. I felt we could have grasped two points. They were there for us.
Unfortunately, we came out on the wrong side of it.
- Derek Stepan

It wasn’t perfect but I thought our guys battled hard and gave ourselves a chance in every game and we come out with five points in a pretty tough trip.
- Alain Vigneault

Travelling up from PA for this game, so I hope it's a good win and we can clinch a playoff spot. LGR!

I'm a very long time lurker. Decided to finally join in time for a hopefully entertaining playoff run in 2014. Let's win this game and get closer to securing the 2 spot in the Metro.

Welcome! I know that feeling, I did it for a long time until I had a strong enough opinion to make a post to reply to something lol.

I don't have an issue with giving a strong opinion. I just hope I don't get thrown out of here in my first week!!

Gotta have a strong backbone and remember its the internet. Sometimes I avoid the forums because of how negative people are for no reason. People are so short-sighted with one loss that sometimes it is ridiculous.

I don't think McD will play, basically said his arm is still sore and he just needs some rest

Any chance McD plays?

I hope not. If he has any type of discomfort, he should rest it. No need to rush back at this point. The Rangers are in good shape in securing the 2 spot in the division. Heal up McD, we will need you at 100% come the post season.

I'm not sure I'm confident in getting the 2 spot. We have a soft schedule but you can't take anyone lightly. The Sens made us look silly defensively last game. I do think/hope that they'll play a more defensive style with no McDonagh and because of last game. We played more conservatively last game. Almost worked.

The most points the Flyers can get if they win out is 99. If I'm doing my math right, our magic number is 8 points. The odds of the Flyers winning out the way they are currently playing is just about nil. If they lose just 2 and the Rangers win 2 of 4, the 2 spot is ours.

I agree with what you said about not taking anyone lightly, but I feel pretty confident at this point. With that in mind, sit McD until he feels good. We're toast if he isn't playing big minutes in the playoffs.

Win and in (or OTL, but that's no fun) on a Saturday night at MSG sounds pretty damn good. Hemsky got hurt last night, so not sure if he will be out for the Sens.

Sens looked like a gong show last night so they may come out tonight looking to bounce back. Be ready boys. Let's lock down a playoff spot.

Let the records show that Ottawa have two hfboards coveted #1 center icemen and another one in the wings, yet are not a playoff team.
