The Hak line got hardly any ES minutes yesterday.
Bellemare - 9:18
White - 8:38
VdV - 8:31
Can't use them to protect a lead if you're trailing.

teams with tons of speed have been exposing this teams weaknesses for 2 years at least now. Pittsburgh realized that and went out and added speed to the bottom 6.
we dont need to get bigger, tougher and slower.
they need to add speed to this group. both up front and on the back end. Yeah there are a few guys who can skate but not enough IMO.
If it wasnt for Mason the Flyers would already be making post season plans.
Exactly. Don't worry though. We will hear from a few that will say "we need to get tougher!" Anyone what watched the game knows the Flyers need to get FASTER! Even on WIP they said the Pens are skating circles around the Flyers. Guys like Sam Car blame it on "being tired" but the main reason is we have a bunch of average speed/skating players on the team, that do everything "averagely". It's why we win some games...and lose others.
Yes, but screaming "Hak line" has become a popular buzz term here, so this will be ignored.
It's a shame we lost 2 of the 3 games Vandevelde wasn't in the lineup. Otherwise Hakstol might have kept Laughton on that line.I agree for the most part, but I do think Hakstol is a bit timid about making game by game adjustments. Laughton has a lot more speed than VdV, and is fresh. Why not put him in against the Pens when the team played the previous day? I don't think "because you don't change a winning team" is a good enough reason.

Good lord, Manning destroyed offensive zone time into dzone time all on his own a few times last night, leading directly to a goal. Guy can't get a shot through the winger covering him even if the guy is just standing still.
