Imagine we get Bishop, but if not there will be plenty of options in the 2-3 mill range. Will it be better than this year, I would hope so but def not a long term solution.

Bishop has identical stats to Mason aside from last year.

They're the same goalie basically. It'd be a terrible mistake to go out and pay Bishop.

If I had no idea where the Wild were in the standings, and judged them solely on this game, I'd think they were fighting us for a lottery pick. We're getting more quality chances against them than we usually do against awful teams.

Id rather take a shot on Darling than throw a big contract at Bishop

If Wild can't score on Manning Schultz in here they shouldn't really win the cup. If anyone should do it I would rather it be leafs and be ****ed by the insane raises it would mean for their youngsters.

I don't think Bishop is getting a big deal from anyone other than Vegas.
His cap hit will be 5 or less for 4 yrs is my guess.

I don't want him either tho, go cheap and pray we have our starter in house.

Darling could end up getting a bigger than desirable deal too with the way the goalie market is this summer

If we don't sign Mason, I don't want to sign anyone in net. Seriously.

We're in a complete lose-lose at goaltender, IMO once Mason leaves (I know, someone would say that's also a lose. But we know he CAN be great here).

If we sign someone, they will be mediocre most likely. UNLESS we pay for the top guys, who will get grossly overpaid.

I'd so much rather just roll with Stolarz and Neuvirth (if he is here), accept that we'll be bad (but not pay out the wazoo) for mediocre goaltending. Use whatever we would've paid a goaltender to bring in forward/D depth.
